Ghosts (Part 1)
I know a lot of people are nonbelievers of such things like ghosts, but sometimes all it takes is one experience and you will believe. Ever since I was a little girl, I have seen things I can’t explain. I was approximately 6 when we were in Colorado visiting some place where people used to mine for gold and they had a picture of a girl that was missing posted. I remember looking down across from the upper level we were on and seeing that same girl and a dog walking. I told my parents and they didn’t see anything.
Then there was the time I was in Germany with my friend and we were walking back to the house. Both of us were probably 8 or 9 and we see this really drunk German lady and she crumpled to the ground. We start picking the lady up and out of nowhere, a guy on a bicycle rides by and motions for us to put her on the back of his bike. He never said anything and I don’t remember what he looks like. We prop her up and he rides away. We took a few steps and looked back and they were gone. There were no side streets or corners for them to turn at because it was a very long road. My friend and I just looked at each other in disbelief and carried on.
Last time I saw something I was around 14 or 15 and my great grandmother had just died. We drove three hours away to make the funeral but we were too late and never got to see her. I remember washing dishes either that day or days after that and I looked in the window in front of the sink and distinctly remember seeing her reflection looking at me. I was not scared, but a little shocked. I turned to look behind me and the figure was gone. I described the color she had on and sure enough that was what she was buried in.
My point is, I have had too many encounters to not believe. My whole family senses things. We have dreams and they usually mean something or come true. I just found out that all of us walk under street lights and they go out. I learned from a psychic that that happens to her too and she frequently blows watches out because of her magnetic something. Who knows. I decided to talk to a psychic one day over the phone because I am a skeptic, especially after having to deal with phony Miss Cleo on tv all the time. “Call me nooooww”. *laughing* Anyway, a friend said she was spot on so I gave her a call. The lady I spoke to was right on point and pointed out things she couldn’t have known. She also told me my cat sees ghosts and I had an old lady that played with him. I was like whatever but there may be something to it.
Flash forward to this year….. My husband frequently goes on travel and when he does so, the light in one of the bedrooms inexplicably always cuts on. It’s a touch lamp so you have to touch it for it to turn on. It freaked me out but I let it go the first time. It happened again about a month ago. I know the light is off because the first few days I’ll pass by the room and it’s dark. A couple of days later I go up the stairs and see a glow in the bedroom so I know it cut on. Vibration doesn’t cut it on either because you can jump up and down by it and it won’t turn on; the light has to be tapped to cut on. The issue I’m having now is my cat is now somehow getting stuck in the room with the door closed shut when no one has opened the door.
